NDULU WAVE (2022) | in Post-Production
Two years in the making, NDULU is a feature documentary shot on-location in Pulau Nias, Indonesia. The film follows the personal journey of Aprianto Wau and the Ndulu English Project; a language initiative set up for the children of Lagundri village in South Nias. The film also explores the historical, social and cultural spheres of the island, addressing the various environmental and ecological concerns attached to these.
This film was made in close collaboration with Aprianto and his family, the English project and the community. It focuses on giving an agency to their voices and experiences, and their everyday processes.
